We are looking for an Engineer who can contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of STAEDEAN applications within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for leading the development of dynamic data transformation solutions, as well as the upgradation and integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central applications. With extensive expertise in data modelling, data structure, and data quality, the role ensures the delivery of high-performing, scalable solutions.

What are your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Application design, development, upgradation and migration of legacy systems to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
  • Design, Develop, optimize customizations and extensions for Business Central using AL programming language.
  • Establish and maintain coding standards, development processes, and best practices to ensure quality and consistency across deliverables.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in Business Central, ERP solutions, and cloud technologies to improve development practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements for Business Central projects.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues within Business Central and guide the team to identify solutions that enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on technical challenges and fostering professional growth.
  • Drive innovation and contribute to the continuous improvement of Business Central solutions and development practices
  • Successful delivery of Business Central solutions with adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • High technical competence demonstrated through complex problem-solving and architectural decisions.
  • Effective leadership and mentorship within the development team.
  • Continuous improvement in development, resulting in higher efficiency and reduced defects.
  • Clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Positive feedback from team members and cross-functional teams regarding leadership and collaboration

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
  • Minimum 12-14 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Lead or in a leadership role for Business Central development projects.
  • Expertise in AL programming languages and advanced customizations in Business Central.
  • Strong understanding of Business Central architecture and the underlying transactions and business logic.
  • Deep understanding of data modelling, data structure, and data quality within Business Central.
  • Experience in upgrading and migrating systems to Business Central Cloud from older versions or other ERP platforms.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL) and performance optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, along with experience in DevOps, Pipelines, and PowerShell.
  • Good to have experience with .NET development (C# or VB.NET).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience or knowledge in embedding AI in Business Central solutions is a plus
  • Deep understanding of financial, supply chain, and manufacturing processes within Business Central.
  • Strong ability to design and implement complex, scalable solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and evolving technical requirements in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning new technologies and improving skills
  • Strong ownership and accountability for the success of projects, team goals, and quality standards.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior developers and cultivate a culture of learning and growth within the team.
  • Take ownership of tasks and deliverables, ensuring high standards of quality.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative and practical solutions for complex challenges
