Lead Network Engineer - L1

We are seeking a skilled L1 Network Engineer to support IT networking and security projects. This role involves assisting in the design, implementation, and management of network solutions while ensuring security and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of network engineering, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in client environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:

• Assist in on-site assessments of network requirements and implementation support.
  
• Conduct basic evaluations of existing infrastructure to help identify client needs.

Network Implementation & Configuration:

• Support the deployment of network components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  
• Assist in configuring and optimizing:
  
  • Routers: Basic routing configurations and monitoring.
    
  • Switches: VLAN setup and switch management.
    
  • Firewalls: Basic firewall rule implementation.
    
  • Wireless Access Points: Assisting in setup and troubleshooting.
    
  • Load Balancers: Supporting configuration and monitoring.

Testing & Troubleshooting:

• Conduct basic testing to validate network performance and functionality.
  
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving network issues under supervision.

Documentation:

• Maintain records of network configurations and updates.
  
• Assist in preparing reports on network health and performance.

Compliance & Standards:

• Ensure implementations follow industry standards, security protocols, and best practices.

Project Coordination:

• Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure timely project execution.
  
Assist in monitoring project progress and documenting key updates.
