Role description
Job Title: Automation Test Engineer
Location: Trivandrum / Kochi / Hyderabad
Experience: 5-7 Years
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Automated Test Creation & Maintenance: Develops, maintains, and executes automated test cases, ensuring overall system quality prior to customer releases.
- Test Suite Design & Development: Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites with continuous integration to provide valuable feedback.
- Collaborates with Engineering Teams: Works closely with engineering teams to derive testing requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Bug Diagnosis & Troubleshooting: Reproduces, debugs, and isolates problems, while verifying and confirming fixes.
- Software Artifacts Creation: Partners with software developers to create essential software artifacts including test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works across functional areas with internal partner engineering teams within a disciplined agile environment.
- Task Estimation & Independent Work: Estimates personal testing tasks and works effectively with minimal supervision, while demonstrating a strong team-oriented attitude.
- Leadership & Guidance: Provides technical guidance, training, and leadership to junior testers and developers, both within and across teams.
- Test Environment Development & Maintenance: Develops and maintains automated test environments using custom frameworks and open-source tools, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Automation Testing: Expertise in creating and maintaining automated test suites.
- Selenium: Proficient in Selenium for automation.
- Python: Strong knowledge of Python programming for test automation.
- AWS: Experience with AWS and cloud-based testing environments.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally in a disciplined agile environment.
- Leadership: Ability to provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
- Experience Level: 5-7 years of relevant experience in automation testing and related technologies
