Lead Embedded Software Developer

Overview

Required Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering,

or a related field.

 Total 7+ Years of experience in Linux based application software

development in C++

 3+ years of experience in embedded Linux development with a strong

focus on Yocto Project.

 Excellent Advanced C++ programming Skills

 Proven expertise in migrating Yocto-based systems, including updating

custom layers and resolving build issues.

 Strong knowledge of Linux kernel configuration, bootloader customization,

and hardware integration.

 Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.

 Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build automation

tools.

 Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, debugging, and

testing methodologies.

 Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and

collaboratively.

 Preferred Qt/QML Programming skills

 Preferred: Experience with Freescale/NXP i.MX21

Position Details

Key Responsibilities:

 Analyze the existing Yocto Linux build system, identifying components,

dependencies, and customizations.

 Plan and execute the migration to the latest stable Yocto release, ensuring

compatibility and functionality.

 Update and port custom layers, recipes, and patches to align with the new

Yocto version.

 Resolve issues related to toolchain updates, kernel upgrades, and

dependency changes.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, and

software teams, to validate the migrated platform.

 Conduct rigorous testing to ensure system stability, performance, and

compliance with project requirements.

 Document migration processes, changes, and best practices to support

future development and maintenance.

 Stay current with Yocto Project updates, tools, and best practices to inform

migration and ongoing improvements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹306,447.18 - ₹1,517,356.02 per year
