Position:
The Lead DevOps Engineer is a technical expert responsible for providing guidance and expertise on DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Engineering initiatives. This role will work closely with the Lead DevOps Coordinator and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and expertise on DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Engineering initiatives, including cloud-native architectures, containerization, and infrastructure as code
- Act as a point of technical reference for the team, providing guidance and expertise on all technologies and approaches used
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and customer support, to ensure that solutions meet business objectives and customer needs
- Develop and implement technical strategies and solutions to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of systems and applications
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for infrastructure-related incidents, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve the team's technical capabilities and solutions.
- Support the planning and resource allocation activities of the team, including:providing technical input to inform resource allocation decisionsassisting with the development of project plans and technical roadmapscollaborating with the Lead DevOps Coordinator to ensure effective allocation of resources and timely delivery of project milestones
- Provide technical input and guidance on the development of technical proposals for cost reduction, performance improvement, and other initiatives
Requirements:
- Strong technical background, with experience in DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Engineering, including cloud-native architectures, containerization, and infrastructure as code
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
- Experience with ITIL or other service management frameworks (nice to have)
- Experience with agile project management methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban (nice to have)
- Experience with cloud providers, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (nice to have)
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker (nice to have)
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation (nice to have)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus or ELK Stack (nice to have)
Nice to have:
- Experience with security and compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA or PCI-DSS
- Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible or SaltStack
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
