In this role, you will design and develop enterprise web applications, while translating requirements into a technical design. You will work closely with BMC’s service managers, enterprise architects, global development teams and third-party technology providers.

Design, develop, and implement user interfaces for web applications using modern frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js.- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers to understand user requirements, translate wireframes/mockups into functional UI components, and deliver intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing applications that enhance the overall user experience.
- Implement responsive design principles and ensure compatibility across multiple browsers, devices, and screen sizes to deliver a seamless user experience.
- Integrate third-party libraries, plugins, and APIs to extend UI functionality and enhance user engagement (e.g., charting libraries, data visualization tools, authentication providers).
- Collaborate with backend developers to define RESTful APIs, data models, and communication protocols to support UI functionality and data exchange.
- Optimize frontend performance, minimize load times, and reduce page size by implementing caching strategies, lazy loading techniques, and code splitting.
- Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of developed software.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Act as a technical lead on complex web-based projects, taking ownership of technical deliverables and driving them to successful completion.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
7+ years of experience in Front End / UI development from a global enterprise software company- 2+ years of experience in a Tech Lead / Principal Front End development role
- Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (preferably Angular 2+).
- Knowledge of J2EE technologies, Spring framework, Hibernate, Struts or similar.
- Some Knowledge of Relational Databases and PL/SQL
- Experience with Agile methodology, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Understanding of Performance Tuning and troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Great communication and collaboration skills
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:
B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field- Cloud computing skills
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles, including service decomposition, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
