Junior System Administrator

Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior System Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will support the daily operation and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure. Working under the guidance of senior IT staff, you will be responsible for monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in the deployment and management of hardware and software systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundational knowledge of IT who is looking to grow their skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
• Assist in configuring, installing, and managing operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), software, and updates.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end users.
• Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and patches.
• Document IT systems, policies, and procedures, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Collaborate with senior team members on IT projects and system improvements.
• Assist in network configuration and monitoring, as well as supporting security protocols and compliance efforts.
• Respond to IT service tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration, or relevant internships.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with system administration tools, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?27,000.00 per month
