Junior Software Tester

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester with 1-1.5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in manual and automation testing, with a strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect tracking. The role involves ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through effective test execution, documentation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and UI testing.
• Work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with the QA team to implement automation testing using tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress (if applicable).
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
• Prepare detailed test reports, defect logs, and documentation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✅ Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
✅ Experience: 1 - 1.5 years in software testing (manual/automation).
✅ Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques and methodologies.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or TestNG is a plus.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
• Understanding of API testing tools like Postman is an advantage.

• ✅ Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in an agile environment.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience in performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins for test automation integration.
• Exposure to security testing concepts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
