As AWS Advanced Consulting Partners, we develop and create solutions for our customers with a multitude of cloud technologies, ranging from Data/Analytics, Serverless, DevOps, Containers etc.
Role: Jr Cloud Engineer Location: Pune (Remote) Experience: 0 to 1 year (Fresher with sound knowledge of AWS / AWS Associate Certification can apply) Job Description: As part of Team QloudX, your responsibilities will be:
We work a LOT with Managed Services, AWS Security, Support and maintenance, you will surely get the exposure to the cloud and especially to AWS.- A lot of our projects are in & around AWS, that comes with new services and challenges; so, you’ll also need to be open for learning new technologies. If you have some AWS experience or knowledge it would be great. If not, you need to show us that you can learn quickly.
- We’re a team of highly motivated, proactive, hands-on, individual contributors. We would expect the same from you.
- You most likely have 1 or 2 years of job experience or you think of yourself as a fresher with great potential and AWS knowledge.
- As you will be a part of Managed Services Team, you will be called to guide/help on AWS related challenges.
- A big part of what we do on a daily basis, is to monitor and improve infrastructure for usage, monitor cost and security. Resolving issues with High CPU, low disk space etc.
- Our day-to-day work involves CloudWatch Setup, CloudWatch Monitoring, Setting up & monitoring backups, Security Hub monitoring, AWS Config, Resolving Security Hub recommendations, WAF Setup & Monitoring, API Gateway errors, Glue Job errors, Lambda monitoring, Cost Monitoring and Optimization, Incident Management, AWS Access Management (IAM & SSO both) etc.
- You should have strong Analytical and problem-solving skills. Your day-to-day work demands analysis and own thinking for reaching to the solution of issues or for resolving security recommendations as an example.
- You most likely to know about Control Tower importance and set up or you think you can learn things quickly and show willingness during interview with preparations around said AWS Services
- We also have Data Managed Services, so any knowledge or experience in Data Side like Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, EMR, Glue, Data Pipeline etc is plus. Knowledge or experience on AWS Lambda, Kafka, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.
- We’re big on automation too, so you’ll need to have basic knowledge of some programming language, maybe Java or Python? You also know core programming concepts.
- We also build various reports for our clients, so you’ll need to have good knowledge of MS products like MS-Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- You’ll also be involved in critical communications, so you’ll need to have good written and verbal communication skills
- As we support multiple clients from various timezones, we do have different shifts that give you flexibility in your working hours
· We are ambitious when it comes to certifications, especially within AWS. If you hold any cloud certifications it will be an advantage. If not, you should be ready to commit to clear your first AWS Associate certification within 3 months of joining.
Mandatory Skills sets: · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Basic knowledge (great to have hands on) of CloudWatch Setup, Monitoring, Security Hub, AWS Config, Backup-DR tools, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, OpenSearch, Control Tower, EC2, VPC, AWS Cost tools, Incident Management etc · Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java or Python) and core programming concepts · Good knowledge of MS products, including MS-Excel, PowerPoint, and Word · Good written and verbal communication skills · Flexibility to work in different shifts, as we support multiple clients from various time zones · Ability to learn quickly and work in a highly-motivated, proactive, hands-on, individual contributor team environment Preferred Skills Sets: · Experience or knowledge of AWS or cloud technologies is preferred · AWS cloud certifications are highly desired, and willingness to obtain them is required · Previous experience with Managed Services, AWS Security, Support, and Maintenance is a plus · Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or CloudFormation) is an advantage · Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Kibana, or Zabbix) is a plus · Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker or Kubernetes) is a bonus Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field · 0 to 1 year of experience in AWS Cloud and AWS services (Freshers can apply) · Any relevant certifications will be an added advantage
