JMeter Test Engineer

Job Description

Proven 2+ Years experience using Apache JMeter for performance and load testing.

– Experience in performance testing of web-based applications, APIs, and microservices.

– Hands-on experience in scripting and test automation using JMeter.

– Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle).

– Minimum of 2+ years in software testing, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.

– Proven experience in performance testing using JMeter for web applications and APIs.

– Technical Skills:

– Expertise in JMeter, including scripting, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.

– Knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, REST, SOAP, JDBC, and FTP.

– Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and integrating JMeter scripts into the CI pipeline.

– Experience with performance monitoring tools such as Grafana, New Relic, or AppDynamics is a plus.

– Knowledge of Java or Groovy for script development and customization.

– Analytical Skills:

– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify performance issues and recommend solutions.

– Ability to interpret JMeter reports and logs and provide actionable insights.

– Soft Skills:

– Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

– Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of quality.

– Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

– Preferred Skills:

– Familiarity with other performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad).

– Experience with testing in Agile environments.

– Experience working in a DevOps or Agile CI/CD environment.

Technical Skills:
Experience with JMeter for load, stress, and performance testing.
Solid knowledge of Selenium WebDriver for test automation.
Proficiency in JUnit, TestNG, or other test automation frameworks.
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
Understanding of CI/CD processes and experience integrating tests into Jenkins or similar platforms.

Tools and Technologies:
JIRA, TestRail, or similar bug tracking and test management tools.
Familiarity with Postman or REST Assured for API testing. (Good to have)
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA for project management.
