We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist

The Markets & Securities Services (MSS) FDR IT team is a team responsible for the definition and delivery of solutions for Data and Regulatory Repotting business. The team are engaged in the definition, development, and implementation of target state for Markets Control like Trade Conduct Controls to provide single interface for middle office business to manage controls and related business alerts.
Finance & Data and Regulatory Reporting (FDR) IT is part of MSS IT which primarily provide services to Finance and Middle Office business. Since last few years MSS IT is on transformation journey by adopting Agile methodology and DevOps practices. There are number of Future State Architecture initiatives are happening in Markets Control Recently business has approved a strategic initiative to migrate all the Markets Trade Conduct Controls from the existing vendor platform into Future State Architecture. This is multi-year project to be deliver on latest technology stack like advanced Java, Spring Boot, Apache Beam, Spark, Micro-services, Angular/React, ECS bucket, Cloud platform etc.

The opportunity: (Brief Overview of the Role)
This role lies within Finance and Data & Regulatory Reporting IT (FDR IT) part of Markets and Security Services IT (MSS IT) function. The FDR IT department principally serves MSS functions including Financial Control, Capital, Liquidity and Product Control as well as Middle Office operational support functions, Market Data and additional Cross Asset services. It is a global organization with IT teams located in primary business hubs in London, Paris, Hong Kong and New York with development centers in Guangzhou, Krakow, Toronto and Pune.

What you’ll do: (List out Key Responsibilities)

• Design and develop systems to support strategic business initiative.
• Interpret requirements, provide estimations, and participate in agile development project lifecycles.
• Troubleshoot defects and come up with sustainable solutions.
• Work with end-to-end teams from requirements analysis to production rollout.
• Interact with a large global team to come up with strategic solutions.
• Build sustainable software with quality, reusability, scalability, and supportability.
• Innovate tools wherever possible.
• Providing support to the solution architect to ensure that solutions and services are supported by the right architectures & systems.

What you will need to succeed in the role: (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)

• Overall IT experience of 4+ years.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Core Java (Java 11), Collections, Multithreading, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices.
• Database technologies like PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle.
• Middleware technology like MQ, Solace, RESTful Services.
• Experience with developing distributed data grid platforms with low latency and high availability.
• Experience with build and development tools such as, Eclipse, GIT, JIRA, Intellij, Maven, Ansible, Jenkins
• Highly literate and articulate, with the ability to distil complex business concepts into simple language
• Having innovative mindset. self-starter, with a desire to own a problem until successful solution is found
• Perform system analysis, design, coding and testing and according to the Bank’s development standard and meeting quality requirements.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate the ability to resolve the difficult situation.
• Candidate should have sense of ownership & urgency, attention to detail, flexibility, process orientation, strong analytical skills, sense of vigilance & adherence to all compliance procedures & policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
• Ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
• Strong teamworking skills including working with remote teams.
• Successful track record of system implementation and support.
• Experience working in a global, matrix environment with remote teams and customers
• Highly motivated with a positive and proactive attitude to learn new technologies.
• Experience working within an agile environment

What additional skills will be good to have?(List out good to have skills and certifications)
Knowledge of Communication and collaboration platforms like Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint
Good to have experience in Solace, Apache Kafka, Apache Beam, Apache Spark and Object Store.
Good to have experience in GCP or any other cloud provider.
