Job Description:

• Strong experience in JAVA and J2EE technologies with Cloud based environment.

• Expert knowledge in JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, SQL, Spring, JUnit and JSON, REST/JSON web services.

• Strong knowledge in Java Design Patterns.

• Development and implementation of features in any Cloud(AWS/Azure) platform products and technologies.

• Experience developing applications with Agile team methodologies preferred.

• Strong Object-Oriented design skills and understanding of MVC.

• Sufficient experience with Git to organize a large software project with multiple developers to include branching, tagging and merging.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience in Azure cloud (PaaS) with Java is a plus.

• Strong business application design skills.

• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

• Strong debugging skills.

• Highly proficient in standard Java development tools (Eclipse, Maven, etc.)

• A strong interest in building security into applications from the initial design.

• Experience at creating technical project Documentation and task time estimates.

• In-depth knowledge of at least one high-level programming language

• Understanding of core AWS/AZURE services, uses, and basic AWS/AZURE architecture best practices

• Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS/AZURE

• Ability to use the AWS/AZURE service APIs, AWS/AZURE CLI, and SDKs to write applications

• Ability to identify key features of AWS/AZURE services

• Understanding of the AWS/AZURE shared responsibility model

• Understanding of application lifecycle management

• Ability to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on AWS/AZURE

• Ability to use or interact with AWS/AZURE services

• Ability to apply a basic understanding of cloud-native applications to write code

• Ability to write code using AWS/AZURE security best practices (e.g., not using secret and access keys in the code, instead using IAM roles)

• Ability to author, maintain, and debug code modules on AWS/AZURE

• Proficiency writing code for serverless applications

• Understanding of the use of containers in the development process
