Job Description

As a Java Backend Developer, you will work as part of a self-organized Services engineering team to design and develop software features that are critical to the lives of credit card consumers. You will focus on a major portion of existing or new team software, such as significant components, features, or services. Your efforts will help achieve the goals and vision articulated by Product Management and your management chain.

Your role involves innovating within your team and contributing to the technical domain. You will be involved in building high-quality, scalable applications and delivering valuable software solutions to end-users.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in Java (J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
• Expertise in building APIs using modern object-oriented languages, especially Java.
• Strong grasp of SOLID principles, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), HTTP, and RESTful services.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality applications at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, including TDD (Test-Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across engineering teams.
  
  

Good To Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and a strong enthusiasm for cloud-based opportunities.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
