Overview
1. Assist and respond quickly if students or staff need help in the classroom when using the network, internet and software.
2 .Maintain, set up and test ICT equipment, including related equipment. ? Provide support to all ICT users within the school, reacting to Helpdesk queries. ?
3.Assist the Staffs with the set up, management and monitoring of the school’s email provision, access, firewall and filtering.
4.Find hardware and software faults and correct them or arrange for their correction or repair in accordance with school procedures and maintain a record of faults.
5. Make sure the network is operational during agreed access hours and fix failure problems .
6.Undertake regular server monitoring, housekeeping and daily backups.
7. Set up new workstations, printers etc and install software in accordance with licences.
8. Monitor the use of software across the network and maintain a list of authorised software and licences.
9. Check IT security is within the schools policy and monitor access. Report inappropriate use Of IT to ICT Manager for action. ?
10.Perform duties in line with Health & Safety rules and to take corrective action where hazards are identified. Where hazards are serious report to line manager immediately. ? Set up IT and other audio visual equipment (eg: laptops) for presentations and assemblies where required.
11. Carry out server maintenance under the direction of the ICT Manager.
12. Provide systems and software support for the schools admin network.
13. Maintain current and accurate records of technology hardware, software, licences and resources.
14. Monitor & maintain the schools printers, including checking ink levels.
