Overview
Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
- System Maintenance & Management: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, etc.), software, and hardware.
- Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
- Maintain and manage file storage, backup, and restore processes.
- Administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
- Set up and maintain server environments, including web servers, databases, and mail servers.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security audits on servers and workstations.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security policies.
- Implement and monitor network security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and antivirus software.
- Respond to security breaches, perform vulnerability assessments, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide IT support for end users and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, network, and peripherals.
- Resolve technical issues related to servers, databases, applications, and IT systems in a timely manner.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, uptime, and security.
