Overview
Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced IT Specialist to oversee and enhance our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure our systems remain secure, efficient, and HIPAA-compliant. You will play a crucial role in supporting our therapists, staff, and virtual assistants by troubleshooting technical issues, implementing cybersecurity measures, and optimizing remote work solutions.
Compensation:$4 - $8 hourly
Responsibilities:- Run security checks on all of our systems to ensure we are protected from cybersecurity threats
- Respond quickly to technical issues so problems can be resolved and our employees can continue to work efficiently
- Back up all computers to make sure our files are saved in case the system crashes
- Administer new user accounts, work email addresses, and access levels to new employees to ensure they have everything they need to work efficiently
- Install all new technology for the company, including computer operating systems, software programs and applications, new desktops, and other computer hardware
Cybersecurity & HIPAA Compliance:
- Ensure all technology systems comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement and maintain VPNs for assistants.
- Set up secure email systems, data encryption, and multi-factor authentication.
Technical Support:
- Provide remote support for therapists and staff experiencing technical issues.
- Manage EMR (Electronic Medical Records) platform integrations and functionality.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
Data Management & Security:
- Establish secure cloud storage solutions.
- Ensure proper backup and disaster recovery protocols.
- Enforce company policy on data storage, ensuring no client information is saved on personal devices.
Workflow Optimization:
- Automate administrative processes (appointment scheduling, billing, etc.).
- Integrate EMR with other platforms to streamline daily operations.
- Assist in optimizing telehealth tools for seamless client interactions.
Website & Online Presence:
- Ensure company website security and functionality.
- Support SEO optimization to enhance online visibility.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Set up dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide technical solutions as needed
- Able to create databases and utilize Excel spreadsheets at an advanced level
- Expert-level Microsoft Office skills
- Solid understanding of troubleshooting Internet connectivity, network systems, phone systems, and other technological equipment in the office
- Great customer service skills and passionate about helping our business succeed
- Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, especially regarding HIPAA.
- Proficiency with EMR platforms, cloud storage, and remote work tools.
- Experience setting up VPNs and secure networks.
- Familiarity with website maintenance and SEO strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills to support non-technical staff.
