IT Support Specialist-Infrastructure

Hi,

We are hiring for one of the leading MNC Cable Management manufacturing company based out of Chennai.

Responsibilities

· IT Infrastructure Setup & Maintenance:

• Plan and assist in the installation of the plant's IT network, including setting up routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Ensure proper cabling and connectivity across the plant to support operations and communication systems.
• Configure and integrate all required systems to ensure reliable network access for all plant equipment.
• Set up and configure computers, servers, printers, and other hardware required for the plant’s operations.
• Install and configure essential software applications, operating systems, and other tools necessary for plant operations.
• Coordinate the integration of IT systems with production machinery, automation systems, and other critical plant equipment.
• Maintain the IT infrastructure to guarantee 24/7 availability for supporting plant operations.

· End-User Support:

• Provide technical assistance to resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, mobile devices, networks, and applications.
• Respond to and resolve IT support requests from employees promptly.
• Answer employee questions regarding computer systems and provide training where required.
• Perform onboarding and offboarding for employees, including IT equipment setup and deactivation.

· System Performance & Documentation:

• Monitor and analyze data to diagnose and resolve problems with IT systems.
• Manage the life cycle of corporate assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Prepare SOPs, implement IT procedures, and update documentation periodically.

· Collaboration & Vendor Coordination:

• Work with all levels of staff to ensure an optimal end-user experience.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
• Ensure timely resolution of issues involving third-party solutions.

Qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as an IT support specialist, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
• In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
• Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
• Proficiency in IT helpdesk software, such as ServiceNow.
• Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
• Strong knowledge of system security practices and backup procedures.
• Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From ?55,000.00 per month
