Overview
Hi,
We are hiring for one of the leading MNC Cable Management manufacturing company based out of Chennai.
Responsibilities
· IT Infrastructure Setup & Maintenance:
- Plan and assist in the installation of the plant's IT network, including setting up routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Ensure proper cabling and connectivity across the plant to support operations and communication systems.
- Configure and integrate all required systems to ensure reliable network access for all plant equipment.
- Set up and configure computers, servers, printers, and other hardware required for the plant’s operations.
- Install and configure essential software applications, operating systems, and other tools necessary for plant operations.
- Coordinate the integration of IT systems with production machinery, automation systems, and other critical plant equipment.
- Maintain the IT infrastructure to guarantee 24/7 availability for supporting plant operations.
· End-User Support:
- Provide technical assistance to resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, mobile devices, networks, and applications.
- Respond to and resolve IT support requests from employees promptly.
- Answer employee questions regarding computer systems and provide training where required.
- Perform onboarding and offboarding for employees, including IT equipment setup and deactivation.
· System Performance & Documentation:
- Monitor and analyze data to diagnose and resolve problems with IT systems.
- Manage the life cycle of corporate assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Prepare SOPs, implement IT procedures, and update documentation periodically.
· Collaboration & Vendor Coordination:
- Work with all levels of staff to ensure an optimal end-user experience.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues involving third-party solutions.
Qualifications and experience:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience as an IT support specialist, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Proficiency in IT helpdesk software, such as ServiceNow.
- Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
- Strong knowledge of system security practices and backup procedures.
- Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a fast-paced environment.
