Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Technical Support: Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware,
software, and network-related issues through various channels (phone, email, remote
access, and in-person).
System Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, routers,
modems, and other IT equipment.
Incident Management: Monitor and respond to IT support requests using a ticketing
system, ensuring timely resolution.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and
networking issues.
User Assistance: Offer technical guidance and training to end-users on software,
hardware, and system usage.
Asset Management: Track and manage IT assets, ensuring accurate documentation
and inventory control.
System Maintenance: Perform routine system updates, security patches, and
backups to ensure system stability and security.
Network Support: Assist in configuring and maintaining network infrastructure,
including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Security: Ensure compliance with company security protocols and implement
security best practices.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and
knowledge base articles.
Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with stakeholders to understand
business requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
Audit Support: Assist with ISO audit reporting and compliance requirements.
Required Skills And Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer, Help Desk Technician, or Desktop Support Technician.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems
(Windows, MacOS, and Linux). Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and Exchange.
Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, ServiceNow, Jira).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
