Overview
IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance to MAAC Team members and students by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, installing and configuring systems, maintaining computer equipment, and offering user training, often both remotely and in person, to ensure smooth operation of our institute's IT infrastructure; essentially acting as the first point of contact for technical problems within the institute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to computer hardware, software, network connectivity, and applications.
- Hardware/Software Installation:
- Setting up and configuring new computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- User Support:
- Answering user questions, providing technical guidance, and resolving basic IT problems over the phone or in person.
- System Maintenance:
- Performing routine checks, updates, and backups to ensure system stability and security.
- Account Management:
- Creating and managing user accounts, access levels, and permissions
- Documentation:
- Maintaining accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and user configurations
- Remote Support:
- Assisting users remotely through remote desktop tools to diagnose and fix issues
- Required Skills:
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, network protocols, and common software applications
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Communication Skills:
- Clear and concise communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, both verbally and in writing
- Customer Service:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide helpful and patient support to users
- Attention to Detail:
- Ability to follow procedures accurately and meticulously
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹10,206.74 - ₹30,000.00 per month
