IT Support Engineer

Overview

General IT Administration & Support:

• Provide technical support via phone, email, chat, or in person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, including computers, printers, and network devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and IT equipment.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Office 365, and other identity management systems.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN).
• Install and update software applications, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Perform system maintenance, updates, and security patches.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Assist with cybersecurity measures and provide user training on best practices.

Firewall Management & Configuration:

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise-level firewalls.
• Implement firewall rules, access control lists (ACLs), NAT, VPN, and web filtering policies.
• Optimize firewall performance while ensuring strong security measures.

Network Security & Compliance:

• Monitor security threats, intrusion attempts, and network traffic anomalies.
• Conduct security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure firewall configurations comply with industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT compliance teams to document and maintain security policies.

Incident Response & Troubleshooting:

• Investigate and resolve firewall-related issues.
• Respond to security incidents, including DDoS attacks and unauthorized access attempts.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for escalated security concerns.

ERP System Administration:

• Monitor server performance and ERP application uptime.
• Apply patches, updates, and security fixes.
• Manage user roles, permissions, and access control.
• Provide user support for ERP-related issues.
• Assist in ERP integration with internal systems (HR, CRM, etc.).
• Ensure data security, backups, and compliance with regulations.
• Document ERP troubleshooting steps and best practices.

Network Cabling Activities:

• Plan and design network cabling layouts.
• Install and route network cables in office and data centre environments.
• Terminate cables with RJ45 connectors and use patch panels for structured cabling.
• Troubleshoot and maintain network cabling infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC).

• Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, VPNs, and cloud services.
• Proficiency in ERP systems administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with network cabling, fiber optic installation, and structured cabling standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
