Overview
Individual will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams across multiple organizations across the globe.
The ideal candidate must have a strong technical knowledge on Oracle products, leadership track record to draw upon critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively manage both tactical and strategic challenges.
It is essential that the individual be able to quickly establish trust and respect throughout the organization at all levels and be viewed as a strong partner. The individual must have deep experience in managing 24x7 DevOps or SRE organizations.

Responsibilities:
- Managing 24x7 Observability function’s incident, problem, change management and escalations
- Accountable and responsible for day-to-day management of availability and SLA (Service Levels Agreement)
- Participate in regular problem-management reviews and identify the opportunities for operational efficiency, Quality of service and product/tool enhancements.
- Work closely with the product/security teams to ensure compliance requirements to mitigate any security vulnerabilities of observability tools
- Co-ordinate with business stakeholders to implement & validate solutions for SaaS observability
- Provides vision towards cloud operations, enabling innovation and seeks to leverage IT trends that can create business value - eg. develop automations, management reporting, optimize resources etc.
- Enable teams to drive technology transformation to deliver SaaS to customers with customer focus as top priority
- Deliver best-in-class observability solutions and processes
- Drive the adoption of automation and end-to-end solutions within the team, with focus on continuous improvements
- Able to operate successfully in a fast-paced production environment, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
- Foster an environment of innovation and growth
- Lead and develop a team of high caliber SRE engineers creating an environment where they are doing the best work of their lives
- Serve as voice of the employee for your team and your internal stakeholders in raising areas of concern and opportunity

- Understand & enable which technology to use to solve a business problem and how systems and applications can be put together for better output, efficiency & experience
- Lead complex and strategic initiatives by collaborating with globally distributed engineering, product, operations and senior leadership teams
Qualifications:
- A good academic background with B.E/B.Tech/MCA degree In Engineering/Management from one of the top Engineering Institutes
- 10+ years of overall experience
- Knowledge on Fusion Applications, Fusion Middleware, Web Logic Server, Oracle Database is a must
- Excellent technology skills background in cloud engineering and operations roles
- Technical background in Windows/Linux/Unix, web technologies, networking, database technologies and replication
- Possess experience in working OCI Infrastructure (or equivalent), Log Analysis tools and knowledge like Prometheus, Grafana etc
- Proven track record of successfully leading Cloud based service delivery organization toward compliance for compliance standards
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts/technologies & Devops in the areas of SaaS, IaaS etc. like Compute, Storage, Network and leading strategic initiatives to manage SaaS products
- Ability to think end-to-end, lead long-term programs, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience in growing an organization and attracting, hiring and maintaining top talent and developing and coaching team members
- Proven expertise in supporting 24*7 team focusing on high scalability, availability, optimization and extensibility
- Experience in hiring, engaging and retaining high performance teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good with people, ability to negotiate
- Good experience of working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner and 10+ yrs. of overall experience out of which at least 5 yrs of leading and growing technical teams
- Possess and demonstrate strong written and oral communication, influencing/negotiating skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- Experienced in 24*7 support in production environments - Working knowledge in the environments of 24*7 with respect to Infrastructure management, Monitoring, High availability, disaster recovery and SaaS application management
- Proficient in Automation experience and strong understanding of DevOps technologies, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Python etc
- Background in ITIL service management, with successful track record of implementing configuration, change, incident management solutions, supporting processes and industry best practices
- Preferred Certification(s) :
- OEL (Oracle Linux Certification), LPI (Linux professional Institute) Certification Programs
- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
- Cloud Certifications - OCI Certified, Docker, Kubernetes certified, other cloud native computing is plus
- Certifications in Data Center Management / DevOps / IT Operations
- Oracle Database Management
