About the Role
The primary responsibility of this role is to handle all IT security-related queries within the IT department, specifically focusing on pre-sales and ongoing customer engagement. This role will act as the subject matter expert for security and technology questions, consolidating IT security expertise within the IT team.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for all IT security-related queries within the IT department, particularly for pre-sales and customer engagement activities.
- Handle customer security requests, including RFP/RFI responses, security questionnaires, contractual reviews, and post-sale security assessments and audit questionnaires, specifically addressing IT department-related aspects. All requests will be assigned by the Security Sales Support team.
- Establish and maintain a central repository of IT security-related information and evidences, condensing this information into a client-facing format.
- Utilize existing knowledge bases and evidence to respond to queries, reaching out to other IT SMEs to fill knowledge gaps and update the central repository.
- Determine which IT specialists are needed for additional input and coordinate with them to manage and collate responses, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
- Manage escalations and gaps in client expectations regarding IT compliance, working with stakeholders to keep customers updated on mitigation efforts.
- Support weekly customer engagement meetings.
- Provide regular reports on IT security engagement activities.
- Work closely with the IT team, security team, legal team, and sales teams.
- Demonstrate an understanding of security concepts through practical examples and real-world scenarios.
- Experience in evaluating security solutions and conducting security reviews based on the specific business needs and risk profiles of both potential and existing customers.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience into IT Security.
- Strong interest and previous work experience in IT and Information Security.
- Previous experience in a pre-sales role is advantageous.
- Highly organized and methodical, with the ability to follow and enhance structured processes.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to be politely assertive when required.
- University degree and high proficiency in English.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and HITRUST.
