Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee all technology operations at our resort. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring data security, managing software and hardware systems, and providing technical support to staff and guests. The role also involves strategizing IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency and guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:1. IT Infrastructure & Network Management
- Manage and maintain the resort’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Ensure seamless internet connectivity throughout the property.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades or repairs.
2. Software & Hardware Management
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PMS (Property Management System), POS (Point of Sale), booking engines, and accounting software.
- Manage guest room technology, including smart TV systems, keycard access, and in-room automation.
- Ensure compatibility and smooth operation of all IT equipment, including workstations, printers, and security systems.
3. Cybersecurity & Data Protection
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect guest and business data.
- Regularly update and monitor antivirus software and firewall protection.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide IT support to staff and guests for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Train employees on using IT systems and troubleshooting common problems.
- Maintain an IT helpdesk system to track and resolve technical issues.
5. IT Strategy & Digital Transformation
- Recommend and implement new technologies to improve guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Assist in developing and maintaining an IT budget.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for IT support and procurement.
6. Surveillance & Security Systems
- Manage CCTV, biometric access control, and other security systems.
- Ensure 24/7 monitoring and quick resolution of any system failures.
7. Cloud & Backup Management
- Oversee cloud storage solutions, data backups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure proper backup of guest reservation data, financial records, and other critical information.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Engg. Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the hospitality or resort industry.
- Strong knowledge of hotel PMS, POS systems, and networking technologies.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IT infrastructure management.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
- ITIL Certification (for IT service management)
