
Overview
As an IT Data Engineer at Nokia, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our IT systems and platforms, ensuring they align with business needs and performance standards. - Design and implement SQL Server database solutions to meet business performance and operational needs.
- Manage and maintain Azure SQL Databases, including configurations and performance tuning.
- Ensure data integrity and recoverability through regular backup and restore procedures.
- Optimize database queries and storage to efficiently handle data translation processes.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues to minimize downtime and support users effectively.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Generate and analyze reports on database performance, security, and usage metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to foster knowledge sharing and support across technical areas.
You have:
- Bachelors or Masters' degree in Engineering with 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in SQL Server, SSIS with C# Scripting Task components, PowerShell, Windows Batch scripting.
- Deep understanding of relational database concepts, service tiers, scalability options, Azure networking and security.
- Experience with SQL Server, particularly in Azure environments, Query optimization and performance tuning.
- Database design and schema management, Deployment, configuration, and management of Azure SQL Database.
- Familiarity with Azure portal, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
- Implementing HA/DR solutions in Azure, including failover groups and geo-replication.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Azure Cloud Infrastructure Deployment, Azure data factory , as well as networking is good to have experience.
- Index management, query optimization, Resource monitoring and capacity planning is good to have.
- Good technical skills supporting the team members working in this area.
