Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services to support our business operations. You will work with cutting-edge technologies to ensure that our cloud environment is secure, efficient, and cost-effective. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), infrastructure automation, and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, uptime, and security. Ensure proper configuration of security controls and access management (IAM, encryption, etc.).
- Optimize cloud resource usage to ensure cost-effective solutions while meeting performance requirements. Manage cloud budgets and assist with cost analysis.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity in the event of outages or failures.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for cloud infrastructure issues, working quickly to resolve problems and minimize downtime.
- Document cloud architectures, processes, and configurations. Provide regular reports on cloud system performance, issues, and enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering.
- Strong expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) and log management tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Solid understanding of OS (Windows and Linux), cloud computing, networking, storage, and security best practices (e.g., VPC, Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancers, IAM, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with cloud best practices and tools.
- Experience with serverless computing architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
