IT Business Sr Analyst - Liquidity & Collateral Management

This is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• The position is based in India and will require the candidate to work as a senior Business Analyst in Collateral and Liquidity Management area in Citigroup.
• Candidate will work independently and should be highly self-motivated.
• Perform data analysis and provide recommendations based on the data
• Holding requirement gathering sessions, gaining consensus and creation of meeting minutes, developing detailed requirements, working through solutions and managing execution and rollout of these solutions, in the context of an overall consistent global platform
• Coordinate with business owners and senior stakeholders in Markets Desks to gather high level requirements and provide detailed data analysis and recommendations keeping in mind end to end impact.
• Responsible for clean requirement documentation, requirement walkthrough to implementation team and implementation validation.
• Support user queries and guide and train development team as needed.
• Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  
  

The role is expected to work closely with:

• Other team members, predominantly in NY, London, and Shanghai to ensure a coherent and robust solution environment in a cross functional team.
• The business users to ensure the business needs are known, understood and that the solution devised will properly meet their requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 7-9 years of relevant experience
• Strong Understanding and prior experience of working with various types of Derivative products, Derivatives Margin, Secured Financing products and ISDA/GMRA agreements.
• Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Experience in data analysis, POC creation and functional testing using Microsoft SQL, Python and excel.
• Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills.
• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships
• Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail

• Bachelor’s degree
• MBA / CA / CFA/FRM preferred
