Mouser Electronics, founded in 1964, is a globally authorized distributor of semiconductors and electronic components for over 1,200 industry-leading manufacturer brands. This year marks the company's 60th anniversary. We specialize in the rapid introduction of the newest products and technologies targeting the design engineer and buyer communities.
Mouser has 28 offices located around the globe. We conduct business in 23 different languages and 34 currencies. Our global distribution centre is equipped with state-of-the-art wireless warehouse management systems that enable us to process orders 24/7, and deliver nearly perfect pick-and-ship operations.
- Ability to multi-task and solid planning and organizing skills to include effective prioritization and resource management.
- Support the development, implementation, and management of production enhancement or cost savings initiatives resulting from the performance analysis.
- Analyze the operational performance of the assets; identify and investigate underperformance and collaborate with Engineering and Operations to develop and implement remediation plans.
- Participate in the budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of individual assets and the department at large.
- Drive long-term profitability and risk minimization.
- Evaluate and manage long-term maintenance strategies for assets in the portfolio, manage maintenance contracts, and monitor asset status.
- Proactively manage the contractual ecosystem of each asset to ensure all contractual and regulatory obligations are met by utilizing and maintaining RWECE's compliance system.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and performance improvement.
- Track all hardware and software versions for end of support and end of life to give teams ample warning to get upgraded/migrated in advance to improve security vulnerability management as well as compliance.
- Help ensure license compliance and prompt renewal – ensure Procurement is getting bids well in advance of renewals to enable time for proper review and negotiation.
- Track asset movement between locations, individuals, and companies.
- Track down and identify unknown assets and assign to appropriate team for management.
- Handle proper disposal of asset across all branches to ensure data is removed/destroyed and disposed assets are removed from the premises and asset listings.
- Validate security of assets by helping GRC validate encryption, Local Admin Rights, data at rest encryption on servers globally, USB disablement and exceptions, as well as physical security at branch offices.
- Provide reporting (scheduled and ad hoc) as needed to support the ITAM Governance activities.
- Overall help with the asset management within corporate ITAM asset tools including CMDB systems to identify ownership of unidentified assets on the network.
- Good understanding of software license management as well as defining and maintaining IT hardware standards
- Experience with IT Asset Management (SAM / HAM), relevant tools and CMDB.
- Certification in Software Assets Management (SAM)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
- Experience implementing and operating ITAM, CMDB and other systems to support the asset management program.
