IP L1/L2 Network Engineer

In2IT hiring for IP L1 & IP L2 Network engineer.

Job – Duties & Responsibilities

· Understanding of IT background in Telco/ISP environment.

· Plan network connectivity, routing and security to meet customer requirements.

· Plan design documents from managed service providers and other specialists.

· Handle queries and escalations from customer.

· Allocation of Private and Public IP Pools, Free Ports, VLAN building/ designing circuits.

· Plan carrier class IP/MPLS network with enough capacity to meet long term service demand forecasts.

• Designing and implementation of solutions based on IP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast.
• Significant Cisco and Meraki experience, Infrastructure/Networked environments with hardware (routers, switches, firewall, etc.), software (IOS, NX-OS), network security practices, designing, planning and implementing LAN-MA.

· Troubleshooting of Static routing, EBGP, IBGP, OSPF, MPLS, IS-IS as PE-CE routing protocol for the client.

· Profound knowledge of networking concepts pertaining to LAN, WAN and Networking in multi-platform environments, operations, and support functions, BGP, MPLS.

· Understanding of Switching technologies: – CEF, VLAN, VTP, STP, RSTP, MSTP, ETHER Channel, HSRP.

• Test remotely with on sight technicians, CPE technicians, carriers, all customers, and peering partners.
• Provide usage reports and trends on core backbone links for SLA uptime and future capacity planning.

· Maturity to handle ambiguity and adaptive to dynamic environment.

• Knowledge of virtualization platforms.

· Willingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business requirement.

· Obtain and clarify requirements from internal and external customers.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.

· Understanding of computer network communication and ability to troubleshoot basic problems.

• Utilize customer runbooks to provide support for cloud services and applications.
• Create and edit, Managed Services documentation and customer runbooks.
• Monitor and remediate Managed Services customer alerts and notifications.
• Assist in development of tools, workflows, and practices for Managed Services team.

· Willingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs.

· Monitor the status and progress towards resolution of all open incidents.

· Liaises with 3rd party vendors to resolve escalated problems and queries.

· Escalation:

o Escalates calls/emails/tickets to the relative parties.

o Escalate, if needed, unresolved problems to a higher level of support.

o Escalate the process to management level if not attended to within the set timeframe.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹1,700,000.00 per year
