Position Overview:
COVU is looking for an Insurance Business Analyst (Applied Epic & Operations) to serve as a bridge between business needs, insurance workflows, and technical implementation. This role combines expertise in independent P&C agency operations, Applied Epic configuration and best practices, and business analysis to ensure our systems, data, and processes align with both internal and external requirements.
Location: Vizag or Pune (Remote)
Compensation: $33,000 - $40,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis: Analyze insurance workflows across policy management, renewals, billing, accounting, and more to optimize processes. Gather business requirements, document specs, and translate them into system configurations or engineering tasks.
- Epic Configuration: Configure and maintain Epic to support business needs, ensuring proper workflows, security, and integrations. Work with engineers on API connections, data integration, and automation to enhance efficiency.
- Training & Support: Train internal and external teams on Epic best practices and new features. Provide ongoing support, documentation, and ensure smooth adoption of platform updates.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain data accuracy and compliance across Epic and integrated systems. Collaborate with data engineers to define models, validation rules, and reporting while ensuring best practices in data management.
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of independent insurance agencies and P&C workflows in the U.S., including policy management, renewals, billing, and accounting.
- Hands-on expertise in Applied Epic, including system configurations, workflows, downloads, integrations, and automation.
- Ability to gather business requirements, document functional specs, and translate them into Epic configurations or engineering tasks.
- Experience training and supporting agents, agency owners, and internal teams on Epic best practices.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate with stakeholders across business, operations, and engineering.
