Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer

Overview

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer with minimum experience of 5-10 years to manage and enhance our network, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in networking protocols, virtualization, cloud platforms, and DevOps tools.

Key Responsibilities

1) Design, implement, and manage network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs) to ensure reliable connectivity.

2) Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).

3) Manage physical and virtual servers, SAN, and NAS infrastructure for seamless operations.

4) Build, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, or OpenStack.

5) Implement and maintain virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.

6) Set up and optimize container networking for Kubernetes and Docker environments.

7) Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.

8) Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.

9) Monitor and improve system performance, scalability, and security.

Qualifications

1) Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.

2) Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

3) Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto).

4) Proficiency in managing servers (physical and virtual) and storage solutions (SAN/NAS).

5) Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

6) Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).

7) Basic knowledge of container networking (Kubernetes, Docker).

8) Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, or Ansible.

Preferred Skills

1) Advanced skills in network troubleshooting and security configurations.

2) Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation.

3) Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture.

4) Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup strategies for critical systems.

5) Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.
