Overview
Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient and scalable backend systems and APIs based on business requirements.
- Utilize core Python knowledge and Python frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask to build robust applications.
- Ensure code quality through the implementation of comprehensive unit test cases.
- Adhere to and contribute to the team's branching strategy and participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Integrate Python services with various databases, demonstrating strong SQL programming skills and familiarity with ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) tools, with Alembic knowledge being advantageous for database migrations.
- Leverage cloud knowledge (AWS or Azure) for deploying and managing backend applications.
- Thoroughly understand business requirements and translate them into well-designed backend system architectures for new features.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers on the team, fostering their technical growth and code quality.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
- Collaborate effectively with frontend developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of backend Skills & Experience :
- 3-6 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Python.
- Solid core Python knowledge and a strong understanding of Python best practices.
- Proven experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask.
- Good backend development experience, including writing effective unit test cases, following a defined branching strategy, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with database integration in Python services and strong SQL programming skills.
- Familiarity with ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) concepts and tools (e.g., SQLAlchemy, Django ORM).
- Knowledge of Alembic for database migrations is a significant plus.
- Practical knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure) and its relevant services.
- Proven ability to understand business requirements and design the backend system architecture to support those features.
- Experience in mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance.
