What You’ll Do

As an HCL Commerce Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable eCommerce solutions. Your expertise will guide the technical direction of our projects, ensuring seamless customer experiences and top-tier performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Development & Architecture: Design, develop, and implement HCL Commerce (WebSphere Commerce) solutions, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
• Technical Strategy: Define best practices, coding standards, and system architecture to enhance eCommerce platforms.
• Collect technical requirements and perform technical analysis: Estimate or validate the team's estimation for the required activities, manage tasks/stories for the development team, and conduct code reviews.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide and mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, and enforce technical excellence.
• Integration & Customization: Work on integrations with third-party systems, including payment gateways, CRM, ERP, and analytics tools.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance for high-traffic environments.
• Agile Execution: Work within an Agile development framework, collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and DevOps engineers.

We need a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills, a passion for eCommerce technology, and the ability to drive innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

• 8+ years of experience in eCommerce development, with a focus on HCL Commerce (WebSphere Commerce)
• Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture
• Deep knowledge of IBM WebSphere Commerce/HCL Commerce V7/V8/V9
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation
• Knowledge of database technologies (DB2, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance optimization in eCommerce solutions
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
