Overview

Job Title: Hardware & Network EngineerDepartment: ITReports To: IT Manager / System AdministratorJob Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Hardware & Network Engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the organization’s computer hardware, networking systems, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless operation of IT equipment and network connectivity across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, servers, printers, routers, switches, and other hardware components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, network security, and internet connectivity.
• Perform routine system and network audits.
• Support users with system and network-related queries and technical assistance.
• Manage backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Keep inventory of hardware assets and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, replacements, and procurement.
• Ensure antivirus and other security software is up to date and functioning.
• Assist in planning and implementing network upgrades and infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in hardware and networking roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Hands-on experience in system installations, configuration, and maintenance.
• Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA is a plus.

Key Skills:

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Good communication and documentation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

• Performance bonus
