JOB DESCRIPTION
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure across public cloud environments (Especially Azure. GCP is nice to have).
- Provision and configure cloud resources such as compute, storage, and networking components.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of cloud infrastructure and services.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Respond to and resolve cloud-related incidents and service requests.
- Perform root cause analysis for service disruptions and recommend improvements.
- Provide technical support for customers and internal teams.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Python, and Ansible to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Automate routine tasks such as monitoring, alerting, backups, and patching.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor cloud infrastructure using tools like New Relic,Prometheus, Grafana, and Cloud-native monitoring solutions.
- Analyze system performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that cloud infrastructure adheres to industry standards and security best practices.
- Manage access controls, security groups, and firewall configurations.
- Assist in the implementation of compliance frameworks (ISO, GDPR, etc.).
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, developers, and security engineers to support cloud projects.
- Document configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with new cloud technologies and trends.
- Identify opportunities to improve cloud infrastructure performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure, K8).
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Azure as public cloud, observability tools (New Relic, Data Dog etc), Kubernetes Administration
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux/Unix, Windows operating systems.
- Proficiency in cloud automation tools like Terraform, Python etc.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
- Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience
- 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management or technical support roles.
- Prior experience in managing and supporting mission-critical cloud environments.
- Experience with database services (e.g., RDS, NoSQL solutions) in cloud environments.
