About the Project
Join IISc in solving one of Bengaluru’s most pressing challenges—traffic congestion! This internship will be focusing on developing cutting-edge technology solutions to support sustainable urban mobility. The project combines innovation, societal impact, and real-world applications, making it an exciting opportunity for passionate developer. This project will be On-site at IISc.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable web applications to address traffic management challenges.
- Build dynamic front-end interfaces using React, enhancing user experience and functionality.
- Develop robust back-end systems with Flask, ensuring seamless API integrations.
- Work with SQL databases to design, manage, and optimize relational data storage solutions.
- Write efficient queries to manipulate and retrieve structured data for application needs.
- Optimize application performance for scalability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists, urban mobility experts, and Interdisciplinary teams from IISc to implement innovative solutions.
Technical Requirements
- Experience with Flask or Django for backend development, including API design and authentication (preferably JWT Extended).
- Proficiency in React, UI/UX design principles, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of full stack development, including databases, API integration, and relational database management (SQL).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a research-driven environment.
- A passion for solving real-world problems through technology.
Good to Haves
- Familiarity with modern state management solutions (e.g., Zustand, Redux, TanStack Query).
- Hands-on experience with SQLAlchemy and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with at least one AWS service (e.g., EC2, RDS, SES).
