Full Stack PHP Developer

Overview

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate PHP Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic development team. You will be responsible for developing both the client-side (front-end) and server-side (back-end) of our web applications. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to create robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing Front-End: Implementing user-facing features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.js or Angular to ensure responsive and modern UI designs.
• Developing Back-End: Writing efficient, reusable, and maintainable PHP code. Experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter is a plus.
• Database Design: Work with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) to design schemas, write optimized queries, and ensure data integrity and scalability.
• API Development: Building RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs to extend application functionality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement designs, and collaborate with other developers to integrate features.
• Testing & Debugging: Write and execute unit tests, debug, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality code.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for speed and scalability, ensuring high performance across devices and platforms.
• Security: Implement security best practices in web applications, including data protection, encryption, and secure login protocols.
• Version Control: Use Git for version control, and participate in code reviews and collaborative team efforts.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies, and apply them to projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Proficient in PHP, with a solid understanding of the PHP ecosystem.
• Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Front-End Development: Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and modern frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Database Management: Strong experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git or other version control systems.
• Familiarity with web development tools and practices, such as debugging, responsive design, and optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, able to discuss technical topics with non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Experience with testing frameworks like PHPUnit or Selenium.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
