The Role
This is a technical role for an experienced and passionate technology innovator and architect who is comfortable working with cloud based systems, platform engineering solutions and all classes of application stacks including web and native apps. The Solution Architect will be responsible for evaluating business needs and collaborating with and empowering teams to refine, define and deliver upon a roadmap ensuring that we select the best solution leveraging software and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals.
• Establish and communicate architectures which allow the business goals to be achieved and all functional and non-functional requirements to be met in line with industry best-practices.
• Contribute across the SDLC to maintain a view of the “whole solution landscape”.
• Support engineering squads in addressing technical challenges.
• Ensure security principles are adhered to help improve Data and Security governance for the systems we own.
• Assist with the forecasting and management of operational budgets and project budgets.
• Help shape the practices of the architecture function

Must-Have Qualifications

• An experienced Solution Architect with proven expertise in cloud solutions, ideally in AWS.
• Experience delivering business critical, secure and scalable enterprise systems.
• Experience in leading the architecture workstream of projects through the entire delivery lifecycle.
• Experience or qualification in Agile product development and engineering.
• Experience of Agile engineering and delivery methods.
• Experienced with task automation and Infrastructure as a Service principles.
