Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Software Tester to thoroughly test our MERN stack application (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js). The tester will be responsible for evaluating the application across multiple testing parameters, including functionality, performance, security, usability, and compatibility, to ensure a seamless and robust user experience.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for the MERN stack application.

Conduct functional testing to ensure that all features and modules work as expected.

Perform performance testing to assess application speed, scalability, and stability under load.

Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure data protection.

Execute usability testing to improve the user experience and interface design.

Perform compatibility testing across different browsers, devices, and operating systems.

Report bugs and defects with detailed documentation, including reproduction steps, logs, and screenshots.

Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes.

Conduct regression testing after bug fixes and updates.

Provide test reports and recommendations to improve overall application quality.

Requirements:

Proven experience in software testing, preferably in web applications.

Strong understanding of MERN stack technologies (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).

Experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Postman).

Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or Swagger.

Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

Understanding of security testing methodologies (e.g., OWASP principles).

Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and provide clear, structured reports.

Job Types: Full-time, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
