Financial Business Analyst

Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Business Analyst in Bangalore to join our client who is a Global IT Services and IT Consulting Organization . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and pipeline management, with specific expertise in bookings, unbilled revenue, backlog analysis, renewals, and financial planning. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills to support data-driven decision-making and optimize financial performance.​

Key Responsibilities:

• Bookings, Unbilled Revenue, and Backlog Analysis:
• Monitor and analyze bookings, unbilled revenue, and backlog to assess financial health and project future revenue streams.​
• Identify trends and provide insights to support strategic planning and risk management.​
• Forecasting:
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts to predict short-term and long-term performance.​
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and assumptions for accurate forecasting.​
• Pipeline and Waterfall Analysis:
• Evaluate sales pipeline data to understand conversion rates and potential revenue.​Gartner Investor
• Conduct waterfall analysis to track the progression of deals through the sales cycle and identify areas for improvement.​
• Renewals and Available to Renew (ATR):
• Manage and analyze contract renewals, focusing on retention rates and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.​
• Assess Available to Renew metrics to forecast renewal revenue and inform sales strategies.​
• Renewal Rates:
• Analyze renewal rates to evaluate customer satisfaction and loyalty.​
• Develop strategies to improve renewal rates and reduce churn.​
• Financial Planning:
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.​
• Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to align with financial objectives.​

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification is a plus.​
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.​
• Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.​
• Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems.​Logility
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.​
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.​
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.​
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.​
