Key Responsibilities
System Administration :
System Administration :
- Manage and maintain servers, storage, and virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, ESXi).
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, including bare metal servers (HP ProLiant Series).
- Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls (Fortinet and Sonicwall).
- Implement and maintain network security policies, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Optimize network performance and ensure high availability.
- Administer VMware environments, including vCenter, vMotion, and HA configurations.
- Support hybrid cloud environments and integrate on-premise systems with cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues on HP ProLiant Series servers.
- Perform firmware updates, RAID configurations, and hardware replacements.
- Ensure optimal performance and reliability of bare metal servers.
- Ensure systems comply with security standards (e.g, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
