ERPNext / Frappe Software Developer

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom modules and applications on the ERPNext/Frappe platform.
• Customize ERPNext features and workflows based on client requirements.
• Implement integrations with third-party applications (e.g., payment gateways, external databases, etc.).
• Develop and maintain database schema, models, and views.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using Python, JavaScript, and Jinja templating.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize ERPNext/Frappe applications.
• Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to clients as needed.
• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and setup of ERPNext systems on servers.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest ERPNext and Frappe updates and features.
• Perform system upgrades and ensure compatibility with new versions of ERPNext/Frappe.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Jinja templating.
• Hands-on experience with ERPNext and the Frappe Framework.
• Familiarity with ERPNext modules such as accounting, sales, purchase, inventory, HR, CRM, etc.
• Experience in database design and management, including SQL and MariaDB/MySQL.
• Knowledge of RESTful API integrations and web services.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like React or Vue.js.
• Experience with ERPNext deployment on cloud platforms and troubleshooting.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with ERPNext/Frappe Framework or related open-source ERP solutions.
• Prior experience in custom module development for ERPNext is highly preferred.
