Position : Database Engineer

Location : Hyderabad

Position Summary

We are seeking a Database Engineer with experience in database management, query optimization, and report automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in writing SQL queries, extracting and analyzing data, and automating report generation using MS Power BI or AWS QuickSight. They will play a key role in optimizing database performance, ensuring data security, and supporting business teams with accurate and timely data insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand data requirements from various departments and provide relevant reports.
• Write SQL queries to extract data and share insights with stakeholders.
• Automate frequently used data reports using MS Power BI or AWS QuickSight and provide secure access to stakeholders.
• Optimize SQL queries to enhance database performance.
• Perform capacity planning and database fine-tuning to improve efficiency.
• Manage database backup and restore processes.
• Ensure data security and compliance with best practices.
  
  

Qualification : BTech/MCA or equivalent in a relevant field.

Experience : 4+ years of experience in database engineering and data management.

Skills & Knowledge

Primary Skills (Must-Have) :

• Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL (DDL, DML, DQL, DCL) using MySQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS.
• Ability to write complex SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
• Expertise in reporting & visualization using Microsoft Power BI or AWS QuickSight.
• Support query optimization for development teams.
• Experience in capacity planning and database fine-tuning for performance improvements.
• Proficiency in data backup & restore processes.
  
  

Secondary Skills (Good to Have) :

• Strong skills in MS Excel.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and other NoSQL databases.
• Experience with ETL tools.
• Knowledge of Python for data-related tasks.
