Overview:
Vulnerability Management: Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities in Apache 2, Apache Cassandra, and Apache Log4j across production and development environments.
Patch Deployment: Apply security patches and updates to Apache components while ensuring application stability and performance.
Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts (Bash, Python, Ansible) to streamline patching and deployment.
Configuration Management: Utilize Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or Chef to enforce secure configurations for Apache services.
CI/CD Pipeline Security: Ensure that Apache-related updates and security fixes are integrated into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Monitoring & Compliance: Implement monitoring solutions to detect vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS security frameworks.
Incident Response: Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and conduct root cause analysis.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of patching activities, security configurations, and risk assessments.
Requirements:
xx years of experience in DevOps, IT Security, or System Administration.
Strong knowledge of Apache 2, Apache Cassandra, and Log4j security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
Experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and package management (APT, YUM).
Proficiency in patch management and security updates for open-source software.
Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7) and security best practices.
Experience working with reverse proxies, SSL/TLS security, and web application firewalls (WAFs).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Collaborate closely with Dev teams and work on remediation solutions by understanding application architecture .
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, RHCE, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), or CISSP.
Experience working in Telecom industiries
Prior experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, Datadog) for security monitoring.
Prior experience with endpoint security and system hardening.
