DevOps Engineer AWS IoT Management

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to manage our AWS IoT infrastructure, servers,and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS IoT services,infrastructure automation, server management, and cost control.

Qualifications & Experience:

-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with minimum 2years of experience in DevOps roles with a focus on AWS.

-Preferred AWS certification

Walnut Medical specializes in manufacturing medical devices in the Respiratory, Over the Counter, Neurology/Neuro-Rehabilitation segments, including the world's most accurate Blood Pressure Monitors with proprietary technology. The product range includes Digital Blood Pressure Monitors, Thermometers, Nebulisers, Oxygen Concentrators, and more. Additionally, Walnut group has expanded into Point of Sale (POS) payment devices, focusing on digital payments.

The company now plans to expand into Consumer electronics and automotive electronics, and is looking for industry leaders to join it in the journey of making it a mainstream vertical

Role & responsibilities

1. AWS IoT Management:

 Design, deploy, and manage AWS IoT Core services and associated components.

 Develop and maintain IoT device management policies, secure communication protocols, and data pipelines.

 Monitor and troubleshoot IoT device connectivity and performance issues.

2. Infrastructure Automation:

 Automate deployment pipelines for IoT services and infrastructure updates.

 Ensure seamless integration of IoT services with other AWS components.

3. Server Management:

 Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of AWS EC2 instances, containers, and other compute resources.

 Manage server scaling, patching, and security to ensure optimal performance and availability.

 Monitor logs and system metrics for performance, security, and operational efficiency

4. Cost Optimization:

 Analyze AWS usage and billing reports to identify cost-saving opportunities.

 Implement cost-control strategies, including resource rightsizing, reserved instances, and auto scaling.

 Regularly audit resources to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

5. Security and Compliance:

 Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and secure communication for IoT devices.

 Conduct periodic security assessments to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

6. Collaboration and Support:

 Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to align infrastructure with application needs.

 Provide guidance and support during incident resolution and root cause analysis.

 Document system configurations, processes, and best practices for team knowledge sharing

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
