Role: DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong Tooling and Automation skills.

The team are currently working on an application Derivatives Trade Processing, which is current strategic settlement system developed application for Global Market Operations to fulfil business daily operations requirements. Looking at achieving ultra-scalability without sacrificing performance and availability breakdown into components and take efforts to decentralise change management and providing teams with more control over how features make their way to production.

Job Requirements

Core Responsibilities:

• Identify system requirements for new applications.
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation.
• Gather and analyse metrics for fault finding and performance tuning.
• Assist with troubleshooting and infrastructure improvements.
• Design, develop and implement IT solutions to meet business needs, according to established standards and best practices.
• Conduct and support testing to ensure the quality of all deliverables.
• Arrange Role swap, Patching, Vulnerabilities fixes, server reboot and other release activities in time, make sure deadline are not breached.
• Arrange timely patches and vulnerability fixes on the production servers to safeguard from attacks and disruptions to production environment.
  
  

Skills And Experience Required

• 8-10 years’ experience.
• In depth experience of automation using Linux and Python scripting.
• Experience on Jenkins, scanning tools, JIRA and version control tools like GIT.
• Experience on CI/CD pipeline and tools: Jenkins, Ant build, Maven.
• Experience on Ansible or Other Deployment Tools.
• Good knowledge of Python or Core Java (preferably on Java8) and RMI especially for debugging and fixes.
• Strong experience of DevOps tooling and processes/concepts.
• Good to have ITIL framework knowledge.
• Good to have knowledge of Back office Swift settlement and confirmations
• Experience of Scheduling Tools like Control-M or Autosys.
• Good knowledge of Unix, SQL (Sybase), Windows Server and Java.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Comfortable operating in an “agile” development team, self-starting, motivated.
• Good deadline management and communication for delays, slippages.

Desired Skills And Experience

• Good to have an experience of Calypso as a back-office system gained through experience with settlements and accounting functionality.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity, Credit, FX and Commodities derivative products.
• Knowledge of primary market Investment Banking products.

Expectations regarding hybrid working:  As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
