Job Overview

We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of our cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying applications straight from GitHub, ensuring seamless scaling, monitoring, and disaster recovery across various cloud platforms. You will also manage cost optimization strategies to help keep our operations efficient and economical. Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes is a must to help build and maintain container-based deployment workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Deployment & Hosting
• Deploy and manage applications directly from GitHub repos to AWS (and potentially other cloud platforms).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Infrastructure Management
• Provision and configure cloud resources (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Implement and maintain containerization strategies using Docker.
• Design and operate Kubernetes clusters (self-managed or through cloud services like EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Monitoring & Logging
• Set up robust monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to track performance and stability.
• Ensure logs and metrics are collected, analyzed, and used to improve system health.
• Scaling & High Availability
• Design and implement autoscaling and load balancing solutions for handling variable traffic.
• Optimize performance for critical components to minimize downtime and latency.
• Disaster Recovery & Security
• Develop and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery plans.
• Implement and uphold best practices in security, access control, and compliance.
• Cost Optimization
• Monitor and optimize cloud spending, suggesting and implementing cost-effective infrastructure changes.
• Collaboration & Support
• Work closely with developers to integrate DevOps tools and processes.
• Provide support, troubleshooting, and guidance to teams on infrastructure-related issues.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Technical Skills
• Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, etc.). Familiarity with Azure or GCP is a plus.
• Containerization: Expert knowledge of Docker, including building and maintaining container images, networking, and registries.
• Orchestration: Demonstrable experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes clusters.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Monitoring & Logging: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar tools.
• Linux Administration: Strong background in Linux systems, networking, and shell scripting.
• CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Soft Skills
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of other configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
• Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda).
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Prior work in high-traffic environments with strict SLAs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹400,000.00 per year
