DevOps Engineer

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

CI/CD Pipeline Management:

• Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Automate and streamline deployment processes for faster, more reliable software releases.

Infrastructure Management:

• Configure and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or onpremises environments.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

Automation:

• Automate repetitive tasks and manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Work on containerization and orchestration using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

• Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure application uptime, performance, and health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and incidents in production environments.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of software products.
• Foster collaboration between the development and operations teams, promoting a culture of shared responsibility.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security best practices across the infrastructure and deployment pipeline.
• Ensure that systems comply with relevant security policies and regulations

Technical Skills:

• Scripting Languages: Familiarity with PHP, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• CI/CD Tools: Proficient in Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or other CI/CD tools.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other cloud platforms.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Strong knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. • Version Control: Proficiency in Git or other version control systems.
• Server Administration: Solid understanding of Linux/Unix and/or Windows server administration.
• Networking: Experience with networking, DNS, HTTP, firewalls, and load balancers.
