What will you do every day?

As an L1 DevOps Engineer at Haptik, you will support and optimize our infrastructure, enabling the seamless operation of our platform. Your contributions will be crucial in maintaining the high performance and reliability of our systems, which are used by clients worldwide.

Ok, you're sold, but what are we looking for in the perfect candidate?

Gain complete proficiency in maintaining and optimizing Linux-based environments and cloud platforms, with the ability to execute end-to-end DevOps processes for efficient deployments and support, including:

• Linux Environment Management: Support and maintain Linux-based environments, preferably Ubuntu, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Cloud Platform Collaboration: Work closely with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) to deploy and manage infrastructure, enhancing scalability and reliability.
• Networking Configuration and Management: Configure and manage network setups to ensure secure and stable connectivity across systems.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration, enabling streamlined deployment and scaling.
• Version Control Management: Maintain and manage version control systems (Git, SVN, GitLab) to support seamless code collaboration and deployment.
• Configuration Management: Implement and maintain configuration management tools like Ansible to automate infrastructure setup and management.
• Automation Scripting: Develop automation scripts using Python or Shell to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
• Issue Troubleshooting and Deployment Support: Troubleshoot production issues, providing swift support for deployments to minimize downtime.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals and smooth project execution.
• Database Management: Work with databases like MySQL, MSSQL, or MongoDB to support application data storage and retrieval needs.
• Monitoring and Performance Management: Use monitoring solutions such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or Grafana to track system health and performance, ensuring timely issue resolution.
  
  
  

Requirements*

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information technology or related field.
• A minimum of 1-4 years of experience in DevOps or systems engineering roles, with hands-on exposure to deployment, automation, and system maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Linux (preferably Ubuntu) and fundamental networking concepts.
• Experience with Docker for containerization and version control systems such as Git, SVN, or GitLab.
• Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes for infrastructure as code and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies to support development workflows and iterative processes.
• Knowledge of AMQP servers like RabbitMQ or MQTT
• Experience with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging and monitoring.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, and Redis.
• Experience with Celery for distributed task management.
• Familiarity with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools for tracking system performance.
• Monitoring experience with tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or Grafana for system health and performance tracking.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Flexibility for occasional night work, as required, to support production deployments and resolve critical issues.
