Database QA Engineer - Contract

Overview

Key Responsibilities

? Develop end-to-end integration tests, automation frameworks, and tools to create robust automated

testing pipelines for the Snowflake Data Cloud.

? Analyze test results in databases and validate outcomes using SQL.

? Deliver high-quality software in large distributed systems, with an emphasis on functional and

performance automation, workloads, and testing.

? Familiarity with validating Metrics/KPIs and data content on BI tools/Analytics Dashboards is a plus.

Qualifications

Experience:

? 4+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.

? Hands-on experience with databases like Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.

? Proficiency in manual testing of UI and APIs.

Skills:

? Strong understanding of database concepts, including query optimizers, performance tuning,

multi-threading, and schema design.

? Proven ability to develop comprehensive and effective test and performance tools, as well as

frameworks.

? In-depth knowledge of standard quality best practices, techniques, and methodologies for driving

continuous quality improvements.

? Experience creating test cases and documentation with or without detailed

requirements/specifications.

Tools & Methodologies:

? Proficiency in using Jira and Xray for test case management.

? Familiarity with Bitbucket pipelines.

? Experience with agile project delivery methodologies, including Scrum.

Communication:

? Excellent communication skills within a team environment.

Major Pluses

? Familiarity with validating Metrics/KPIs and data content on BI tools/Analytics Dashboards is a plus.

? Experience with distributed storage systems and data/metadata file formats (e.g., Parquet, ORC, Avro,

Iceberg).

? Knowledge of cloud storage platforms like AWS.

? Industry experience in Medicare, Medicaid, healthcare, or commercial insurance.

Pay: ?1,200,000.00 - ?1,500,000.00 per year
