Database Engineer 3

• Min 8 Years of relevant experience is required.
• Implement complex database solutions, activities may include general database consulting, executing miscellaneous scripting requests against customer databases coming database migrations and upgrades or building custom reports.
• Investigate and resolve complex customer support issues.
• Maintain advanced proficiency in 3rd party and company specific technology necessary to successfully implement database solutions.
• Conduct database performance analysis with a focus on query efficiency and schema design; apply tools and utilities to identify integrity or performance issues and assist with database support issues when needed.
• Lead in gathering requirements with the appropriate stakeholders to develop a plan and proposal for solution.
• Perform technical analysis on databases and gathering data to implement proper database solution.
• Document specifications or findings and recommendations resulting from database services in a manner consistent with company documentation standards.
• Collaborate with peers and set the standards for high quality and efficient database solution designs to ensure consistency across internal and external documentation.
• Participate in sales activities, including generating proposals and estimates.
• May provide guidance to other team members.
Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; Provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of comprehensive performance assessment.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server Oracle and Postgres) and industry recognized concepts.
• Experienced writing and debugging complex SQL including stored procedures and functions.
• Familiarity with Erwin Data Modeler.
• Experience working with cloud solutions such as AWS or Azure.
• Performance tuning experience.
• Experience with designing schemas.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting databases on Windows and Linux.
• Foundational knowledge of networks, storage, virtual environments.
• Demonstrated success at reading and writing software documentation from a configuration or user interaction perspective.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently to completion
• Able to speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience.
• Driven to learn and stay current professionally.
• Up to 10% travel time required.
